A wonderfully illustrated work on the charm and beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Written by Scottish naturalist and photographer, Seton Gordon, who began exploring the Scottish mountains from a young age, becoming very well known for his works presenting this beautiful scenery.
'The Charm of the Hills' is filled with Gordon's own photographs and descriptions, depicting various scenes from the stunning landscape, with a particular focus on the birds of the area.
Illustrated with eight-four illustrations from photographs by the author, and a Rembrandt photogravure frontispiece.
Collated, complete.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, very good, with light bumping and a little rubbing to the extremities. The odd mark to cloth and a few spots to the fore edge. Pencil inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with light scattered spotting, heavier to the first few pages.
