A poem on cookery by William King, inspired by 'The Art of Poetry', an ancient Roman poem about the art of poetry writing. Like its inspiration, King's poem advices chefs about the art of cookery, and features Horace's 'Art of Poetry' written in Latin opposite his poem.
Condition
Bound in modern cloth, with endpapers and blanks renewed. Externally lovely with slight fading to the spine. Internally firmly bound with age toned pages and light spotting. Lacking the original frontispiece. Pages closely cropped, but not effecting text.
