A detailed study into the observations and patterns of bird migration.

Volume I includes notes on birds that are seen in The British Isles throughout the different seasons and detailed observations on specific species such as swallows, skylarks and lapwings. 

Volume II comprises of more sections into specific locations, such as spending a year with the migratory birds at Fair Isle and the birds of St Kilda. 

With frontispieces to both. Eight plates of maps and charts, including a folding map in Vol I. Fifteen plates of monochrome photographs in Vol II. Collated complete.

Condition

In the original cloth bindings. Externally, very smart with rubbing to the extremities, heaviest to heads of spines. Bumping to the spines and light marks to the boards. Ex libris of Nantwich and Aton Grammar School to both front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot to the endpapers.
