Illustrated by a host of popular artists such as the noted Arthur Rackham, with monochrome vignettes and full page illustrations and a colour frontispiece and seven colour plates by Rackham, with some of these being the first appearances of his illustrations for his work 'Mother Goose' which was published in October 1913.
This annual features a collection of short stories, nursery rhymes, riddles and illustrations for children written by a host of talented and popular writers, including Lyman Frank Baum the author of 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Externally very smart with slight fading to the spine, minor marks to the boards, rear joint starting slightly to the head, bumping and slight wear to the extremities. Light spotting and adhesive marks to the endpapers with age toning and hinge tender to the rear. Front hinge weak after the front blank. Internally binding tender in places with pp. 193-194 weak. Very lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot and offsetting to the title page.
