Crane is considered to be the most influential, and among the most prolific, children's book creators of his generation, and one of the strongest contributors to the child's nursery motif in the late 19th century. 

Written by English children's writer Henry Gilbert, praised for his accuracy of historical events.

Condition

In publisher's original green cloth binding. Externally, smart. Fading to spine, with bumping at head and tail. Bumping to corners of boards. Marks to boards, most significant to the front. Slight fading to edges of boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light age toning to edges and slight spotting towards the rear of the work.
