They provide an abundance of narratives and advice for those looking to travel, including detailed information on routes, travel and accommodation. Baedeker innovated the concept of the travel guide with his work, designed to fit in the pocket of a tourist, making his guides a popular option in the Golden Age of travel.

This engaging handbook provides a comprehensive guide to primarily Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, including excursions to Iceland and Spitzbergen.
