First edition. Illustrated with thirty-one full colour images and decorations. A delightful collection of nursery rhymes and songs for children, including: Over the hills, Old King Cole, London Bridge, Four and twenty sailors, and Goosey gander, amongst others. Set to music by Alfred Edward Moffat, a Scottish musician, composer and collector of music. Illustrated by Henriette Willebeek Le Mair, a Dutch illustrator of children's books.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Minor fading or discolouration to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. The odd small closed tear to the panel edges with light marks to the panels. A 1" closed tear to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
