First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt detailing to the front cover.

Dated using Jisc, from copies of the work held at the British Library.

Written by Thomas H. Oyler, author of 'Lydd and its Churches', 'Kent Churches' and other historical religious works.

This work is a collection of different epitaphs and inscriptions found at the churches in Kent, presented alphabetically from St. Mary's in Ashford, to All Saints in Waldershare.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt detailing to the front cover. Externally, generally smart, with light bumping, mainly to the head and tail of the spine. Slight darkening to the spine. The occasional mark to boards, with white specks to the front. Lacking front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean, with one or two spots to the fore edge.
