An impressively large collection of verses from the novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist best remembered for the Jungle Book duology, and his 'Just So Stories'.

With a charming former owner's inscription to the front free endpaper, addressed 'to Eve, my best friend' on the occasion of her marriage, from 'Robert'.

With cloth ties in full working order, which is now uncommon for this work.

Condition

In the publisher's original limp vellum binding, with cloth ties in full working order. Significant handling marks and residue to vellum. Small loss of vellum to head of rear board at portion covering ribbon. Edgewear to back strip head, with light edgewear to front wrap head and tail. Front hinge strained, and a touch tender to tail. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
