The first edition, first impression. 

Includes four pages of photocopied handwritten notes by the author. The notes could possibly be early drafts for 'The Mote', a title found in this anthology. 

Max Beerbohm's collection of parodies on the works of celebrated writers such as Rudyard Kipling, Henry James, Thomas Hardy, H. G. Wells and John Galsworthy. Beerholm was an English parodist and caricaturist. 

In the publisher's original gilt cloth.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally excellent with only minimal fading to the spine and the slightest rubbing to the extremities. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with only the odd spot.
