Written by Emily Lina Mirrlees, a Scottish food writer, and Margaret Rosalys Coker, a South African-born English author of books for the home. Royal Chef, 1954. First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fourteen images across twelve plates. Collated complete. Recollections of life in royal households from Queen Victoria to Queen Mary. Written by Gabriel Tschumi, a native of Wiedlisbach Switzerland who served as Master Chef to three British monarchs: Queen Victoria and Kings Edward VII and George V.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the cloth. Minor fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and minor age toning to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front endpaper of the odd volume.
