In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally generally smart. Slight bumping to head and tail of the spine and extremities. Slight rubbing to extremities resulting in minor loss to cloth. Damp staining to rear board. Author's presentation to front free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly, with list of illustrations leaf working loose. Pages generally bright with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages.
