The Swanston Edition. A limited edition, number 199 out of two thousand and sixty copies printed, of which only two thousand copies are for sale. Illustrated with monochrome frontispieces to all and the occasional monochrome vignette. A twenty-five volume, complete set. This set features a collection of novels by the celebrated Scottish novelist, Robert Louis Stevenson, best known for his popular novels; ‘Treasure Island’ and ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’, both of which are included in this set. The set also includes his other works, including his letters and other novels such as ‘Kidnapped’ and ‘The Silverado Squatters’, with an introduction by the iconic illustrator, Andrew Lang.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with fading to the spines and damp stains to the spines and boards to the majority of the volumes. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with light age toning and occasional spotting, heaviest to the front.
