A lovely collection of the poetry of Alfred, Lord Tennyson, in a signed Bumpus full calf binding, with decorative gilt detailing to back strip.

Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece depicting Tennyson.

Poet Laureate for most of Queen Victoria's reign, Tennyson is now considered one of England's greatest poets, with his most familiar poems being 'The Lady of Shalott', and 'The Charge of the Light Brigade', and 'In Memoriam, A. H. H.'

Head of front free endpaper removed, with inscription to front free endpaper dated 1928.

Condition

In a full calf signed binding, with gilt detailing. Externally excellent, with boards exceptionally bright. Back strip loss of colour, as is common with calf of this shade. Light rubbing to back strip raised bands. Head of front free endpaper removed, with inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
