This particular work explores the influence of Eastern religious practices on the Roman pagan traditions, present during the early centuries of the Common Era. Cumont details his thoughts on the strong influence of Eastern countries on politics, science, law, literature and art, among other aspects, and illustrated the reasons behind the spread of these religions.
