A very scarce work.

Volume I as published in two volumes (two parts). These reports were originally issued in the Journal of Hygiene, and cover a vast series of findings from experiments that look into potential plague transmissions in India. 

Complete in two volumes, although a third supplementary volume was also published in 1914. 

Bound in the publisher's original cloth with gilt decorative stamps to the front boards. 

Part 1 - Contents include experiments on the transmission of plague by fleas, the anatomy of the India rat flea, the existence of chronic plague in rats etc. Illustrated with thirty-one plates, one in full colour, and numerous maps and charts. With a folding table 

Part 2 - Contents include observations in the Punjab villages of Dhand and Kasel, experiments to discover whether common domestic animals of India are affected by the plague etc. Illustrated with five monochrome plates and a plethora of maps, charts and diagrams throughout.

Condition

In the original cloth binding with gilt decorative stamps. Externally, smart. Sunning to the spines and light wear to the extremities. Heaviest to the spine heads and tails, with small loss of cloth to Part 2 head. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages. Offsetting and light spotting to the endpapers of Part 1.
