Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations, and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with light fading to the spine and minimal edge wear. Bookplate of 'Ashton' to the front pastedown, with offsetting and spotting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with the odd spot, slightly heavier to the front.
