A biographical dictionary edited by David Patrick and Francis Hindes Groome, based upon articles from William and Robert Chambers's Encylopaedia, known as one of the most important English encyclopaedias of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries known for its accuracy and scholarliness. Further articles were also added to include biographies of all the greatest from all times and nations, exceeding ten thousand people.

Condition
In a half straight up grain morocco binding over cloth covered boards, with marbled edges and endpapers. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, lightly rubbed to spine, joints, and boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
