Denis examines Brazil's physical landscape, natural resources, and patterns of settlement, and details the regional contrasts between coastal cities, interior provinces, and frontier zones, paying close attention to coffee, rubber, and other export economies.

Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper.

Translated by Bernard Miall, and with a supplementary chapter from Dawson A. Vindin.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear to back strip tail, and bump to back strip head. Ink inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
