Bound in signed half calf by A. & F. Denny, with marbled boards and charming gilt decoration to the spines. 

This Oxford edition prepared by W. J. Craig, with a general introduction by Algernon Charles Swinburne, introductory studies by Edward Dowden and a full glossary. 

With a frontispiece to each volume. 

'Comedies' (1911) includes 'The Tempest', 'Measure for Measure', 'As You Like It' etc. 

'Tragedies' (1912) includes 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Julius Caesar', 'Hamlet', 'Othello' etc. 

'Histories' (1912) includes 'King John', 'King Henry the Sixth', 'King Richard the Second' etc. 

Condition

Bound in signed half calf by A. & F. Denny. Externally, very smart, with minor rubbing to the extremities and minor fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with scattered spotting to the endpapers.
