Bound in a full morocco prize binding with gilt, for Fauconberge School, Beccles. 

First edition.

Illustrated with eight monochrome plates, including a frontispiece. Collated, complete.

Archibald Williams (1871–1934) was a British engineer and writer whose works on exploration and invention captured the adventurous spirit of the early twentieth century.

Condition

Bound in a full morocco prize binding for Fauconberge School, Beccles. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to morocco. Fading to spine and rear board. Bookplate of Francis E. B. Witts to rear paste down. Prize plate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot to first and last few leaves. Ink staining to fore edge, not affecting the text, not spreading to pages.
