'The Spirit of Romance' is based on lectures Ezra Pound delivered at the Regent Street Polytechnic between 1908 and 1909, dealing with a variety of European literatures. Within his discussions, Pound provides translations of works from a variety of authors, including Guido Cavalcanti and Francois Villon.
Pound was an American poet and critic and is regarded as a major figure in the early modernist poetry movement.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with offsetting to the endpapers and scattered spots throughout, mostly concentrated to the margins.
