This work was written by English missionary and ethnographer George Brown. Brown spent much of his time over a 48 years amongst the islanders of Melanesia and Polynesia. This work documents the manners, customs and folklore of these islanders and compares them.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with minor bumping, handling marks and very minor fading to the spine and light rubbing to the joints, extremities and rear board. Offsetting and spotting to the end papers. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with scattered spotting heavier to the front and the rear.
