Illustrated with nine tipped in colour plates with captioned tissue guards, and with eight further monochrome line drawings. Collated, complete.
William Heath Robinson was an English cartoonist, illustrator and artist, best known for drawings of whimsically elaborate machines.
A wonderful collection of verse from the author of 'The Jungle Book', best known for poems including 'If-' and 'The White Man's Burden'.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Boards exceptionally bright. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with light fraying in these regions. Hinges strained, and just a touch tender. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, and just a touch age toned to perimeters.
