1910 Buffalo Bill Bids You Good Bye Farewell
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce
A scarce programme for Buffalo Bill's 1910 'Farewell Tour', with his associate Pawnee Bill.
Though titled his farewell salute, Buffalo Bill's poor financial situation forced him to go back on the road in 1911, then continuously each year until his death in 1917.
Illustrated throughout.
Buffalo Bill was an American showman, soldier, and bison hunter. He was famous for his tours, which began touring the States in 1883, and Europe in 1887.
Bill was the figurehead of the American Old West, his shows displaying cowboy themes and escapades, as well as tales from the American Civil War and Indian Wars.
He undertook this tour with Gordon William Lillie, "Pawnee Bill", a fellow Wild West showman.
