Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations to all volumes, as well as two plates and two folding plates to volume 2, one folding plate to volume 4, two plates to volume 8, and one folding plate to volume 12. Collated, complete.

Seven volumes of a thirteen-volume set of catalogues, describing the rare and antiquarian books for sale from the publisher and bookseller Casa Editrice Leo S. Olschki. Founded by Leo Samuele Olschki in 1886 in Florence, this publishing house is among Italy's oldest publishers of critical work in the humanities.

This set comprises: volume 2 (1910), covering 'incunabula' to 'liturgie'; volume 4 (1914), covering Italian fifteenth and sixteenth century books; volume 6 (1926), covering 'Macaronica, Machines, Malte, Mariage, Mariana (Vie et Culte de la S. V. Marie), Mathematiques'; volume 7 (1928), covering 'Medecine ancienne, Militaria (Art Militaire) Mort (Funerailles, Danse Macabre)'; volume 8 (1930), covering music, theatre, dance, and Neo-Latin; volume 11 (1936), covering Roma; and volume 12 (1940), covering chivalric novels, Scandinavian and Slavic literature, and natural science books.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with a little fading to the spines. Labels taped to the spines of volumes 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12. Faint ink inscriptions to the spines of volume 4, 7, 8 and 12. Faint marks to the boards of volume 7. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age toned but clean. Light scattering of spots to the first couple of pages to volumes 4, 6 and 7.
