Twenty-one volumes of a twenty-four volume set, lacking volumes one, twenty-three, and twenty-four. A limited edition of one thousand and fifty copies, of which one thousand were for sale. This set is numbered seven hundred and forty-three. The collected works of William Morris, an English textile designer, poet, artist, writer, and socialist activist associated with the British Arts and Crafts movement. Morris was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production, and his literary contributions helped to establish the modern fantasy genre. As such, he is recognised as one of the most significant cultural figures of Victorian Britain.
