First edition. Notes and Documents Relating to Westminster Abbey No. 2. A detailed history of Westminster Abbey, an Anglican church in the City of Westminster, London. Which since 1066, has been the location of the coronations, burials, and weddings of numerous English, Scottish, and British monarchs. This was the only history of the Abbey attempted by a medieval writer. Written by John Flete, an English monk and ecclesiastical historian who documented the history and abbots of Westminster Abbey. Edited by Joseph Armitage Robinson, a priest in the Church of England and scholar who was successively Dean of Westminster and of Wells. With a collection of three Christmas cards featuring the Abbey.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Small splits in the cloth to the spine and head of the front board resulting in minor fraying. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light spotting and minor age toning to the first and last few pages.
