First Edition, Illustrated

Illustrated. Jules Gabriel Verne (8 February 1828 – 24 March 1905) was a French novelist, poet, and playwright best known for his adventure novels and his profound influence on the literary genre of science fiction.

Condition

In a decorative cloth binding. Externally, sound with slight rubbing. There is some damage to the top and tail of the spine. Spine is slightly sunned. Internally, binding is loosening in places. Hinges are tender. Pages are generally bright and clean. There is an ink inscription to the recto of front free end paper. There is also a bookplate to the front pastedown.
