Leather Binding, Pleasing Copy
Two volumes bound in one. A detailed biography regarding the life of Horatio Nelson, with notable inclusions regarding his victory at Trafalgar and The Battle of the Baltic.
In a full calf prize binding for Christ's Hospital with armorial crest to front board and bookplate to front paste down.
'Nelson' is a later edition. First published in 1895. Part of the English Men of Action Series. With a frontispiece.
'Wellington' is a later edition, first published in 1889. Part of the English Men of Action Series. With a frontispiece. Though little is known of this historian, his biographical work offers an interesting perspective of this famous military figure The Duke of Wellington.
Condition
In full calf. Externally in excellent condition with the odd mark to the boards and light rubbing to the joints. Bookplate to front paste down. Bookseller label to rear paste down. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright with scattered spotting to the first and last few pages.
