Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and fifty-six monochrome plates, including one folding plate. Collated, complete. 

Privately printed, with a presentation label from the 'Brown Brother & Company' to the front pastedown. 

This uncommon work was written by John Crosby Brown, a senior partner in the investment bank, 'Brown Bros & Co'. The work provides a history of the company, discussing how the business was founded, and their various firms around the country. 

In the publisher's original cloth.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with marks to the front board, slight rubbing to the extremities and a small closed tear to the head of the spine. Presentation label to the front pastedown with spotting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally clean and lightly age toned pages with light spotting to the blanks.
