A historical account of the early toys and companions of young children, with chapters on dolls, toys of pottery and porcelain, silver toys, weapons and soldier play, animals, rattles, balls, marionettes, special occasion or sacred toys, educational toys and games, mechanical toys, and more. Written by Mrs. F. Nevill Jackson, a British historian.

Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting throughout. Age toning to the endpapers with light wear to the rear pastedown.
