A very scarce magazine.
This volume contains twelve issues of 'Home Cookery and Comforts', for January to December 1908, being Numbers 174 to 185, Volume XIII. This was also published as 'Isobel's Home Cookery'.
Including the original front wrap for the January 1908 issue.
This magazine offers a variety of recipes for the year round, using seasonal ingredients, with advice on practicing economy with food. The editor also provides menus for a weeks worth of simple dinners, as well as dainty suppers, vegetarian dishes, and dishes for invalids.
With the occasional in-text illustration.

Condition
Rebound in a cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed with marks. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is faded. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean. Small closed tears to a few pages, larger to pages 235/236.
