A 1908 copy of this work, featuring an uncommon cover variation - in original tan cloth, with black pictorial designs, rather than the more common colour and gilt first editions - and designed without flags to front board.
Features a colour frontispiece, and 24 further colour plates, in addition to 25 monochrome vignette illustrations, all rendered by the author - British artist, Gordon Home.
Collated, complete.
Also featuring a folding map of the rivieras to the rear of the book, in lovely condition.
Condition
Bound in original tan pictorial boards. Externally, in excellent condition. Very slight and occasional marks to boards. Bumping to head and tail. Prize bookplate to front paste down. Age toning to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages consistently bright and clean, very occasional handling marks, and the odd spot.
