Translated from the French by Albert Jacquemart and edited by Mrs. Bury Palliser.
Jacquemart was an art historian who is known for his numerous works specialising in ceramics, and for his innovative classification of Chinese porcelain into different families. Palliser was an English writer on art and lace.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with fading to the spine and rubbing and bumping to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards. Internally, frontispiece is at risk of detaching, otherwise volume is firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with light spotting and offsetting to the endpapers
