The first edition, limited to 310 copies, of this scarce topographical work on the London Thames in the publisher's original cloth binding with gilt decoration.
With thirty-one plates, including a colour frontispiece and two further coloured tipped-in plates (xxix and xxx) and twenty-eight monochrome lithographic plates. All under captioned tissue guards. Collated, complete.
Drawn in lithography by Thomas R. Way and descriptive text by Walter G. Bell.
Contains two pages of original publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding with gilt decoration. Externally, smart with slight bumping to extremities and spine head and tail. Internally, mostly firmly bound. Plate xix slightly loose with binding strained. Pages clean and bright with marginal age toning and the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages. Contains two pages of original publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.
