A terrific study of the birds of Yorkshire, this being the best-known work of British ornithology Thomas Hudson Nelson. Offering detailed commentary on the habits, patterns and habitats of various species commonly found across the area. 

Richly illustrated, including a coloured frontispiece and title page to each, as well as seventy-five monochrome plates to Volume I and eighty-six monochrome plates to Volume II. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light marks to the front boards. Institutional bookplate to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. With occasional spots throughout and heavier scattering to the first and last few leaves. Minor offsetting to the endpapers.
