What Our Customers Say...

Description

Publishers' Original Binding

The work of American schoolteacher, inventor, traveller and photographer James Ricalton. Each summer, Ricalton was known to travel overseas to take stereoscopic images, and visited Iceland, the Amazon, Russia, Singapore, China and Japan.

In this volume, Ricalton discusses his travels in India, offering contextual descriptions to accompany his photographs. Not present here, however, is the booklet of stereoscopic images that should appear in the pocket to the rear board. This booklet should contain ten leaves of plates, and ten colour maps.

Undated; date c1907 via Jisc, due to pagination.

With five pages of advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Lacking the booklet which should appear in the pocket to the rear board.
