    German. Uncommon work. With a folding map to the rear. Collated complete. A detailed and comprehensive strategic study of the German campaign, or 'Wars of Liberation', fought between 1813 and 1815. Members of the Sixth Coalition, including the German states of Austria and Prussia, plus Russia and Sweden, fought a series of battles in Germany against the French Emperor Napoleon and the armies of the Confederation of the Rhine, which ended the domination of the First French Empire. Written by V. Caemmerer.

    Condition

    In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities resulting in minor loss to the cloth at the board tips. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd neat ink annotation and underlining. Previous owner's bookplate to the front free endpaper.
