Complete in two volumes. First edition. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and title page to each volume, with one-hundred and sixty-one monochrome plates across the set. Collated, complete. Comprised of a historical account of the avifauna of the county of Yorkshire, being a detailed study of bird habits and habitats. Nelson had an extensive collection of birds and eggs, which included over one-hundred mounted bird specimens and guillemot eggs. Written by Thomas Hudson Nelson, a British ornithologist. With assistance from Dr William Eagle Clarke, a British ornithologist and Frederick Boyes, an English bank manager and ornithologist.
Condition
In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot.
