In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. 

This containing a fascinating record of a variety of Old English Silver and Sheffield Plate and the prices each piece sold for at auction. 

Prior to the examples of rare pieces is commentary regarding the rise and fall in values and the various hall and maker's marks that can be referenced and identified. 

Collated, complete with eighty-seven monochrome plates. 

With four leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with minor bumping to the extremities. Bookplate of A. Louis de Meuleneere to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with offsetting to the endpapers.
