A detailed and comprehensive history of the Southwark Cathedral, formally the Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Saviour and St Mary Overie, a Church of England cathedral in Southwark, London, near the south bank of the River Thames and close to London Bridge. Providing a tour of the interior, historical summary, commentary on the founding of the church, and a chapter on the choir. Written by Canon Thompson, the rector and chancellor of the cathedral.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light fading and tide marks to the cloth with the odd small mark. Light loss to the head of the spine with fading to the spine. Hinges starting but firm with the front free endpaper loosening. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the extremities with further age toning to the endpapers.
