Bookplate of Albert J. Chalmers to the front paste down, in addition to a presentation label, presenting the work to the Royal Society of Medicine in 1920. Chalmers was a colonial physician, who was pioneering in the research of tropical medicine.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart, with marks to the boards and spine, including an ink mark to the front board. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Torn label to the head of the spine. Library stamp to the tail of the spine. Front hinge is strained, rear hinge is starting. Bookplate and institutional label to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. The occasional institutional stamp.
