The 1906 San Francisco earthquake was a major earthquake which struck the coast of Northern California, causing fires to break out across the city, and more than 80% of the city to be destroyed, with 3,000 lives lost. This account uses eye witnesses as a source, detailing the earthquake in graphic and reliable detail.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, sixty-two plates, and in-text photographs throughout. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in small tears. Minor handling marks to the cloth. Dampstain to the rear board. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
