What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce first edition of this 1906 publication, in original green cloth binding.
In this work, anthropologist M. W. Hilton-Simpson tracks his own travels around Algeria - the first of several publications on his travels.
Hilton-Simpson's many years of travel produced historically useful documentation of the people living in Algeria in the early 20th Century, some of which is currently held in the Oxford Pitt Rivers Museum.
Featuring a frontispiece, 31 further monochrome photographic plates, and a folding map to the rear of the book, all in lovely condition.
Collated, complete.
