Robert Peet Skinner's detailed account of his time in Abyssinia, known today as Ethiopia, providing his observations of the royalty, manners, customs and the political landscape. Skinner was sent by President Roosevelt to Ethiopia in 1903 to establish a trade deal between the United States and Ethiopia.

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spine, minor scattered damp staining to the boards, and minimal edge wear. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
