Volume I and II of this scarce quarterly magazine, The Cruiser.
Volumes from Vol II onwards are particularly very scarce. With only one institutional copy of this magazine by Hathi Trust, comprising five volumes.
In the original red cloth binding, with nautical rope gilt design to the front boards.
This publication offers a nautical compilation of poetry, historical sketches and first-hand accounts, including 'A Cruise on the West Coast' by Arthur F. Evans, 'The Navesink Light' by Paul Eve Stevenson, '262 Miles on a Lark in Japan', 'A Lake Michigan Adventure' and much more.
Both illustrated with monochrome plates of photographs, including eighteen double-sided plates to Vol I and six double-sided plates to Vol II. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, with fading to the spines and damp stains to the rear boards. Front board to Vol II is also faded. Front hinge to Vol I is tender and front hinge to Vol II is starting, but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only a couple spots to the endpapers.
