An early 20th century edition of Thomas Dekker's satirical pamphlet, first published in 1606.

Dekker portrays the moral and social vices of the city through the allegorical framework of the seven deadly sins.

Dekker personifies sins such as Envy, Sloth, and Pride, illustrating how they manifest in the streets, markets, and daily dealings of Londoners.

Here the original spelling of Elizabethan England have been retained.

Condition

In a reverse calf binding, with morocco label to centre of front board. Externally, lovely, with a touch of rubbing to head of front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
