Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and forty-nine monochrome plates. Collated complete. 

This work was written by Frederick G. Kitton and is comprised of ten chapters, commencing with Dickens' birthplace in Portsmouth, with photographs of the house in which he was born. Following this, Kitton covers any area connected to Dickens, including London, the West Country and the Gad's Hill Country.

Condition

Bound in full straight grain morocco. Externally very smart with slight fading to the spine, slight rubbing to the joints and extremities and the odd very minimal mark to the boards. Bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound with two plates disbound but present and one starting. Pages bright and clean.
