This scarce work was written by George Forrest and features a collection of comedic parodies of works by noted authors such as Rudyard Kipling, the Poet Laureates, Shakespeare and Arthur Conan Doyle. This volume is of note for the inclusion of 'The Adventure of the Diamond Necklace', a parody of the Sherlock Holmes stories by Doyle.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covers. Externally sound with sunning to the spine and extremities, closed tears and creasing to the spine with minor loss to the head and tail and edge wear. Light spotting to the endpapers. Internally generally firmly bound with strain in places, with generally bright pages with occasional spotting.
